Governance
The voting membership of the Mo-Kan Regional Council consists of 52 persons, one from each municipality and county within our service area with any municipality or county over a population of 10,000 people receiving an additional voting member per 10,000 population. As such, the City of St. Joseph has 8 board members while Buchanan County and the City of Atchison are eligible to appoint two members each. Bob Burns, City Administrator of the City of Lathrop, serves as the current Chair of the Board of Directors.
