Trevor Tutt

Executive Director
Trevor Tutt joined Mo-Kan in the fall of 2020. Raised in the biggest little town of Braymer, MO, Trevor has resided in St. Joseph since 2015. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Humanities and a Master of Arts in History from Northwest Missouri State University and worked in the museum field for six years prior to joining Mo-Kan. His dedication to history and love of Northwest Missouri fuels his drive for community development to learn from the past and build a better future.

Kathy Hahn

Deputy Director
Kathy joined Mo-Kan in 2015 as a loan officer. Leaving in 2018, she rejoined our team in July of 2022 as the Fiscal Officer. She is responsible for the daily oversight of the projects and programs administered by Mo-Kan. As her job duties expanded to include project management and Human Resources, Kathy was promoted to Deputy Director in 2024. Kathy is a graduate from Missouri Western State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration: Management and Finance with a minor in economics.

Evan Banks

Community Development Planner
Ever since a study-away program in Portland, Oregon--centered around sustainable governance--Evan has had a passion for policy, planning, and public service. Through achieving undergraduate degrees in History and Political Science from MWSU, interning for the local metropolitan planning organization and parks department, and volunteering for organizations like Main Street Saint Joseph and the Missouri Rural Crisis Center, he has established strong ties to the both the city itself, and its hinterlands. Evan was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada and has lived in the St. Joseph area for over a decade. He has broad work experience including: martial arts instructor, farmhand, bartender, planner, academic advisor, renaissance festival actor, catering manager, deep-canvasser, and more. He brings all of that experience to bear on his projects enriching them with scope and context. His hobbies and interests include travel, reading science fiction, the 19th century American whaling industry, digitizing ship's logs, environmental justice, food cartology, and community service.

Citlali Samano

Transportation Planner
Citlali Samano is an Oklahoma native, originally from Tulsa County but recently came from Oklahoma City where she attended the University of Oklahoma, earning her B.S. in Environmental Design. She is deeply passionate about urban planning, transportation planning, and sustainability, with a strong focus on integrating historic preservation and promoting environmental and social justice initiatives. Outside of her professional pursuits, Citlali enjoys exploring local cultural events and volunteering for community improvement projects.
